After reaching the end of my work placement at 3 Mills Studios I have so much that I want to spill but I'm going to have to keep schtum till the 27th of July when you'll all be able to see the results of what's been going on. Over the last 6 weeks I have worked on some unique and bizarre costumes, accessories and props all of which I would have killed for a photo of! I also entered some new realms including modelling - well I say model, in actual fact I got dressed up and covered in body paint so that the artistic director Kim Gavin (known for his live event work with Take that and also the Diana Concert as well as work in television and theatre) could see what the ensemble looked like altogether.
I also got the rare opportunity to see inside the stadium before it is finished, this was to model an outfit for the closing ceremony after sunset so that the team could carry out a lighting test. Very exciting stuff but SO COLD! And as if all of that wasn't enough I also got to work with fashion designer Michael Shannon for whom I was working on a bespoke piece for the closing ceremony. This is about as much information as I can reveal for now, wish I could share more !
